You've heard about these virtually indestructible Marble products.
Lloyd Bovin, owner of Maple City Marble, has been a pioneer
in manufacturing these products.

says Lloyd, who has a market for them throughout Ontario and
Michigan. The line has been expanded to include more products.
Lloyd and his four full time employees, have been manufacturing
marble products since 1990 from his building on Merritt Avenue
South (just south of Richmond Street) and sells them to local
businesses including Beaver Lumber and Cashway, and to clients
throughout Ontario and Michigan.
Lloyd and his staff manufacture marble countertops, shower stalls
- for conventional and handicapped washrooms - decks and skirts
for whirlpools and shower kits in all shapes, sizes and colours.
Another application for the a marble material is in fireplace
mantles and hearths.
Countertops are a major product for him and recently his company
installed 250 for an Ontario Housing Authority project in London,
Ontario.
"We will deliver and install the products within about a
20 mile radius of Chatham" he says.
Lloyd, who owned a local plumbing retail business, has sold marble
products for a number of years, says that marble has a number
of advantages over other materials such as tile.
Marble is better than tile.
"It is easier to clean; you just wipe it off. And, it lasts
virtually forever. It's very durable, and there is no surface
cracking." he adds.
"It's versatile in both size and colour."
Finally, it isn't as expensive as you might think, especially
when you consider the quality and life long durability.
